Né dans les années 60, Dominique Philippe Bonnet est un photographe qui a été initié très tôt à la chambre noire et à la technique argentique. Il part vivre à Londres au milieu des années 80, et montre ses images dans un certain nombre d'expositions et des revues de photographie comme le prestigieux BRITISH JOURNAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY, qui lui consacre plusieurs pages en 1983.

Par la suite, un tour du monde de près d'une année lui permet de découvrir de nombreux pays et de nourrir un attachement particulier avec l'Asie. Il revient alors avec des milliers d'images argentiques qu'il montrera de nouveau dans le cadre d'expositions et de publications au cours des années qui suivront.

Il reconnaît aujourd'hui bien volontiers l'influence de grands photographes tels que Henri Cartier-Bresson, Édouard Boubat, André Kertesz, ou encore Paul Strand, Harry Callahan, ou Ralph Gibson.

Domicilié aujourd'hui en France, près de Poitiers, il fait régulièrement l'objet de publications dans des supports tel que SILVERSHOTZ (Australie), MUSEE MAGAZINE (Etats-Unis), FINE ART PHOTO MAGAZINE (Allemagne), FOTOCULT (Italie), ou encore CHASSEUR D'IMAGES (France).

Born in the 1960s, Dominique Philippe Bonnet is a photographer who was introduced at an early age to darkroom techniques and analog photography. He moved to London in the mid-1980s and showcased his work in several exhibitions and photography magazines, including the prestigious BRITISH JOURNAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY, which dedicated several pages to his work in 1983.

Later, a nearly year-long world tour allowed him to discover many countries and develop a special connection with Asia. He returned with thousands of analog images, which he would once again exhibit and publish in the following years.

He readily acknowledges the influence of great photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Édouard Boubat, André Kertész, Paul Strand, Harry Callahan, and Ralph Gibson.

Now residing in France near Poitiers, his work continues to be featured in publications such as SILVERSHOTZ (Australia), MUSEE MAGAZINE (United States), FINE ART PHOTO MAGAZINE (Germany), FOTOCULT (Italy), and CHASSEUR D'IMAGES (France).
